Along the way, you pass through charming villages like Gho and Tilije, where traditional Tibetan-style houses and terraced fields create a scenic backdrop. These settlements provide a glimpse into the local culture, with opportunities to interact with friendly villagers and experience their way of life.
The trail eventually leads into a dense forest, rich with pine, oak, and bamboo, and the path becomes more undulating, with occasional ascents and descents. The sound of the river and the sight of waterfalls add to the serene atmosphere of this part of the trek.
As you approach Dharapani, the landscape becomes more cultivated, with terraced fields and more frequent signs of habitation. Dharapani is a significant village in the Annapurna region and a common stop for trekkers on both the Manaslu Circuit and Annapurna Circuit. The village offers a range of amenities, including comfortable lodges and teahouses, where trekkers can rest and reflect on the journey.
The trek from Bimthang to Dharapani typically takes about 6-7 hours, covering a distance of approximately 18 kilometers. The day is long but less strenuous than previous stages, with the main challenges being the duration of the walk and the gradual loss of altitude. The ever-changing landscape, combined with the sense of completing an epic journey, makes this trek a satisfying conclusion to the Manaslu Circuit.

Day20 Trek from Dharapani to Beshisahar
The trek from Dharapani to Beshisahar is the final stretch of the Manaslu Circuit, bringing trekkers from the mountainous terrain into the foothills and ultimately back to more accessible regions. This section of the trek offers a gradual descent, with the landscape transitioning from rugged alpine scenery to lush, green hillsides and fertile valleys.
Starting from Dharapani, the trail follows the Marsyangdi River downstream. As you descend, the trail passes through a series of picturesque villages, terraced fields, and subtropical forests. The path is well-established, and the walking is generally easier, though there are still occasional ascents and descents.
Villages like Tal, Chamje, and Jagat offer a blend of cultural experiences, with influences from both Tibetan and Nepali traditions. The houses are often adorned with prayer flags, and you'll see locals working in the fields or tending to livestock. These villages provide opportunities to stop for tea, enjoy local hospitality, and take in the serene surroundings.
As you continue towards Beshisahar, the landscape becomes increasingly lush, with the climate warming and the vegetation growing more dense and tropical. The trail winds through forests of pine and bamboo, alongside cascading waterfalls and across suspension bridges that span deep gorges. The closer you get to Beshisahar, the more developed the trail becomes, with wider paths and more frequent signs of modern infrastructure. Beshisahar, at 760 meters, is the gateway town to the Annapurna region and marks the end of the Manaslu Circuit trek. It is a bustling town with plenty of amenities, including hotels, restaurants, and transportation options for onward travel.
- Duration: 7-8 Hours of Walk
